this is an independent, selective, private roleplay blog for the character katniss everdeen from the hunger games by suzanne collins, written by bee.
any non-canon ideas, headcanons, etc. are mine and have been made through several years of playing katniss on and off. please do not use them!
i am selective & mutuals only, so i only interact with blogs that i follow. please do not take it personally if i do not follow you back - i am selective in order to keep my dash clean! - but i ask that you please do not im me if we are not mutuals.
at this moment in time this blog is iconless because i don't feel like making more, but that is subject to change when i get bit by the iconning bug!
the themes and imagery of violence, specifically violence towards children, death, murder, poisoning, misogyny & sexism, gore, depersonalization, drug use & addiction, body horror, war, fascism, and blood will be on this blog. they will be tagged. all triggers will be tagged as trigger /. these triggers are all highly tied to the theme and setting of the hunger games and will be unavoidable on this blog, so while they will be tagged it might be best to avoid following if any of these are highly triggering for you!
please do not godmod / powerplay / metagame, etc. the basic rp rules! i control my character and you control yours.
please DO im me to plot! i love plotting - platonic, romantic, adversaries, etc. - and would like to aim for plot-heavy connections for katniss.
i do NOT write smut. it makes me uncomfortable. please do not pressure or ask me about doing this as it is not something that brings me any joy or interest.
pre-games
katniss lives in district twelve of panem, illegally hunting outside of the district gates in order to keep her mother and sister fed & alive. with a small circle of friends, katniss is not known to be social - not after the death of her father in a mining accident when she was a young child.
post-game / between thg and catching fire
the girl on fire who wore a mockingjay pin and burning dress. the girl who bent the rules of a game that were not meant to be bent. the girl who survived with the boy she supposedly loves. winning the hunger games means a huge house in the victor's village, means her mother and sister will never go hungry again. it also means when the capitol comes calling there is nothing she can do but follow, for fear of something terrible befalling those she loves. even if that call is heading into the second fight for her life.
mockingjay / rebellion
figurehead of the rebellion. the mockingjay. always the girl on fire, the girl burning in their propaganda films, the healthy girl who does not cry and does not have night terrors and does not find herself losing time. katniss has to be strong. she has to be their leader, their savior, their whatever they want her to be. it's the only option.
post series
spans any time post the hunger games series. katniss trying to learn to live. live with who she is now and who she will never be, who was stolen from her. learning to be something other than the strong one or the mockingjay or the hero.
